Expert for health tourism

This project will now be worked out in detail with respect to the curriculum. At the same time it will be submitted as a project draft to the representations of the nations participating as well as to the Commission in Brussels. Through the EQUAL programme the project draft will be included into the first round of invitation of offers. The project will start at the beginning of 2001. Trainee programes have been arranged in Spain, Turkey, Iceland and Austria.

The first graduates of this training successfully completed their education in September 2001.

Business Administration with Specialisation in Health Care Management

Hospitals, spas, charity organizations, health insurances - in fact all services based on our health system, actually are in a stong process of reorganization.
The significant spa Bad Mergentheim faces this challenge with a study course that offers the specialisation in Health Care Management and prepares internationally oriented young people for this new environment.

Tourism in Europe: Standardised and yet entirely different

This is the title of a declaration passed by a group of European associations on 13 September 2000 which makes it clear to the Commission and the Parliament that tourism in Europe cannot speak with a single voice. However, the declaration also shows that the associations agreed on a close cooperation with the aim to realise also a closer collaboration with the Commission and the Parliament. The declaration was signed by further associations.

On 2 May 2001 the presidents of the associations in the EU-Parliament met in Brussels in order to discuss further activities with the parliamentarians.

PATERO - a partnership of spa hotels

Seven spa hotels in Pamukkale (TR) have founded a partnership with the aim of combining nature and tourism in a reasonable way and moreover to make Pamukkale a branded product on the world market, offering 3000 years of history.
The hotels are the following: Collosea Hotel Thermal, Richmond Pamukkale Thermal Hotel, Richmond Spa Hotel Pamukkale, Polat Thermal Hotel, Pam Thermal Hotel, Richmond Savanna Thermal Hotel, Pamukksu Boutique Hotel. Considerable cost savings have already been achieved by common purchasing activities. Through the foundation of the Turkish Spas Association which was considerably supported by the ESPA the partners have come closer and have founded this partnership.
