Baltic Sea Spas Co-operation (BSSC)Supported by the ESPA, the Baltic sea spas Pärnu (EST), Sopot and
Kolobrzeg (PL) as well as Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, Bansin (Usedom-D), Binz
(Rügen-D) and Grömitz (Schleswig-Holstein-D) have formed the marketing
co-operation Baltic Sea Spas Co-operation (BSSC) on 28 September 2000. ESCC- European Spas Competence Centre
The four co-operation partners have an extensive knowledge and a great experience in the analysis, the development, the realization, the consultation as well as in the management of tourism related concepts for health resorts, spas and thermal baths. The ESCC has specialized in assisting European spas in creating their own distinctive image. A team of experts is offering scientific analysis of mineral, medicinal or thermal water respectively, giving qualified advice to optimise marketing activities, conceiving special staff trainings and handling new building and redevelopment measures for hotels and spa facilities in a goal-directed, efficient and market-oriented way.
European Parliamentary Advisory Council (EPAC)The Advisory Council, founded during the ESPA's annual congress on 2 June 2000, has the aim to promote the interests of European spas and health resorts on a European, national and regional level. It shall increase their publicity in the media, discuss spa-related topics in the parliaments and present their matters of interest to the respective governments, thus increasing the public awareness for spas and health resorts. The ESPA and its member associations will support the parliamentarians with the necessary information.Apart from that the Advisory Council shall help to intensify communication between the parliamentarians on different scales and beyond the European Union in order to help those countries applying for membership to integrate themselves in the EU. On 29 November 2000 the EPAC members came to a first meeting in the
European Parliament in Brussels with the aim of defining the concrete
objectives of the newly founded council and also to develop a relevant
activity plan (press activities, events, etc.) in order to realise the
objectives established. At first, the exchange of experiences and
information shall be promoted on an international scale, supported by
the responsible national parliaments. In a second step this information
shall be included in a database. |
